Privacy policy
Last updated 12 August 2026. Written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
What we collect
Two things. First, whatever you type into our contact form: your name, email address, where you live, the treatment you are considering, and your message. Second, standard analytics about how the site is used — pages viewed, approximate location by country or region, device type, and referring site.
Health information you send us
If you send us a scan, an X-ray, a treatment plan, or a description of your dental situation, that is health information and we treat it carefully. We use it only to answer your question and, where you ask us to, to make an introduction to a provider. We do not publish it, sell it, or use it for advertising. If you would rather not send clinical detail, describe your situation generally — we can still help.
Who processes data for us
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate site usage. It sets cookies and collects a truncated IP address.
- Google Apps Script — receives contact form submissions and stores them in a private spreadsheet.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you message us there, that conversation is governed by Meta's privacy terms as well as this policy.
- Our hosting provider — keeps standard server logs.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not add you to a marketing list because you filled in a contact form. We do not run advertising retargeting pixels on this site.
Referrals to providers
If you ask us to introduce you to a clinic or practitioner, we share only what is needed for them to respond — typically your name, contact details, and what you are asking about. We ask you first. Once your information is with a provider, their own privacy practices apply to it, not ours.
How long we keep things
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 24 months so we can pick up a conversation you started earlier. Analytics data follows Google's standard retention. Ask us to delete your records sooner and we will.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete it. Email andy@colombiamedical.co and we will act within 30 days. You can also block cookies in your browser; the site works without them.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will remove it.
International transfers
Our readers are mostly in the United States and Canada; our operations are in Colombia. Information you send may be processed in either place, and in the United States where our service providers operate.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page rather than made quietly.
