Day 0: procedure day

Day 1
Swelling and soreness can be present. Follow the prescribed medication and oral-hygiene plan. Do not improvise vigorous rinsing, exercise or chewing because you feel better than expected.
Days 2–3
For some oral surgeries, swelling can become more noticeable before it improves. Your clinic should tell you what pattern is expected and what changes require contact.
Days 4–7
Many patients start feeling more functional, but the surgical site is still healing. Continue the diet and hygiene restrictions appropriate to your case. If a provisional restoration is present, protect it according to the bite/chewing instructions.
Week 2
Soft tissue may look and feel much improved even though osseointegration is nowhere near complete. Feeling normal is not proof that the implant is ready for unrestricted loading.
